Overview of the past few weeks

Math:

Reviewing concepts in booklet. 
Data Managment Project (Student Survey), to display and present findings on graphs
Will begin looking at culminating activities in preparation for high school

Géographie:

Looking at caracteristics influencing population/demography such as:
 age, quality of life, life expectancy, rates of infant mortality/birth in comparison to other countries
-Examined the UN's Millenium Goals
-Will be rewriting (in kid-friendly language) Rights of the Child in French
Beginning a project on Immigration and/or Social Justice Issue

Littératie:

Le texte narratif.  Reading some samples and students are to write their own.  One such activity is "Chapitre perdu" for April 27th.  Fables/Legends will also be read and written.  A study of language components in this literary genre (imparfait, passé composé) and les adjectifs qualificatifs/comparaisons will be done as well.

Should time permit, a Novel Study will begin in the next couple of weeks as well.
